Instant | Branding | Web Design | Illustration
I participated in a group project for Instant, a daily payment service that provides employees with early access to their earnings. The team’s primary focus was to enhance the brand system by modernizing it while not straying from the existing brand manual. We strived to cultivate a more approachable image for Instant that would appeal to employers, employees, and prospective clients.
This project allowed me to demonstrate my expertise in brand development, visual design, and strategic implementation. I contributed to enhancing Instant’s marketing position and improving their ability to foster connections with stakeholders by carefully aligning the brand system with the target audience’s preferences.
One of the first ways we revitalized the brand was to modernize the current Instant logo via subtle touches. That said, our primary emphasis with the brand was to revise the color palette to better align it with Instant’s values and primary clientele, fast food restaurants. We chose vivid colors with energetic gradients to complement the branding of Instant’s main clients.
Because Instant celebrates diversity, we chose to highlight their commitment through a combination of photography and illustration. Although facial features were not explicitly depicted in the illustration, we nonetheless leveraged hairstyles and clothing to emphasize inclusion and diversity and to foster a sense of belonging among Instant’s target audience.
In addition to illustrations, photography, new colors, and a modernized logo, the team also crafted collateral materials to reinforce the brand identity. We created posters, pamphlets, brochures, forms, cardholders, PowerPoint presentations, and landing pages for the website. These new materials engaged users and increased brand recognition and reach for Instant. We transformed the brand to be more approachable, dynamic, and inclusive, thereby aligning the brand even closer with their core values.
