Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is a distinguished 501 non-profit organization dedicated to fostering one-on-one mentoring relationships that empower and inspire young people. In 2020, I had the honor of leading the design initiatives for their highly anticipated Pensacola gala.
I assumed the full creative direction for the project, and embraced the theme of “Havana Nights”. By drawing inspiration from the glamour and timeless elegance of Havana during the 1950s, I captivated the gala committee with my vision, and they unanimously embraced the theme as the event’s focal point.
While bringing the vision to life, I used illustration and hand-lettering to craft a custom sponsorship package. These designs served as the foundation for all of the gala’s supporting materials. I brought forth through these materials the allure of Havana to evoke a sense of enchantment and sophistication within the event. The designs integrated nostalgia, opulence, and energy to pay homage to the cultural richness of that era.
Throughout my contributions, I sought to amplify the impact of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America’s mission by creating a memorable experience for gala attendees. I inspired heightened engagement via the charm of Havana Nights and fostered meaningful connections among attendees to ultimately raise crucial support for the organization’s transformative mentoring programs.
